On the agenda this weekend: Painting our living room! We moved into our house in September and it still feels like we just got there. It's finally time to get things done!!

Mission Accomplished!

This weekend we were on the prowl for a bookcase...We found one! She's a beauty and we decided to call her Loretta. I love her antique look. She's not your average bookcase. We still need to Loretta up, but this is a nice photo of her. OoooohhhAaaaaaahhhhhh!

On the Prowl!

This weekend we're channeling our puma instincts and going on the prowl. The mission? Bookcases. We have a couple, but we're looking for something big and grand. I have lots of places in mind and I love, love, love a good hunt. I think it's the thrill of the chase!

We'll keep you posted on our hopefully new finds. Have a great weekend and enjoy the sweltering heat and humidity!

P.S. We find hot/humid weather perfect for furniture schlepping in our trusty, non-air conditioned steed (We'll have to write a post about him).

We're Movin' on Up!

Exciting news!! We are moving into a real, live space! We're reclaiming our home and getting rid of the storage unit. Wahoooooo!! Let me tell you, it's hard to organize your new house when it's filled with tons of vintage furniture and accessories. The Lime Caanary collection has humble beginnings. It started in one room of our home and quickly took over the living room and soon the garage and then a storage unit. We love the stuff, but can't wait to get it out of the house!!

Starting September 1st, Lime Canary will be chillin' at our new studio at the ACVR Warehouse in St. Paul. It's a great old warehouse built in 1911and sits right near the Mississippi river. We can hardly wait!

Handsome Devil!

It's been a great short week! I was going about my morning thinking it was Wednesday, and just realized it's actually Thursday! I love when that happens. I do not love when I think it is Thursday and it's only Wednesday. Anywho, I digress.

Meet Boris! He is one handsome little devil. I would say he is a little brother to our larger table Vladimir (who's a beast). This guy is a stunner. He's very versatile and could be used for almost anything. Boris looks great decked out with our eclectic, mismatched chairs surrounding him. Love!

Makeover Time!

Hello lovelies! I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July! We had a great time soaking up the sun and beautiful blue skies. We also did a little work. Meet Matilda (there are two of her)! She was a sad looking stray when we found her, but we did some upholstery magic and...Voila! She's lookin' good!

It's amazing what a little new fabric and padding will do. We've been busy learning the upholstery trade and we're hoping to become upholstery Gods by this time next year. Our next project is a super rad victorian love seat! Can't wait!
