Busting at the Seams!

It's been a busy couple of weeks in the world of Lime Canary! We've just moved into a new, bigger space. Oh the joy! We could no longer shimmy through the aisles of our old quarters, so we had to get some bigger digs. We're still in the same, rad warehouse, just up a floor. There's definitely some grand plans to make this space awesome. We can't wait! The current state of the Lime Canary Nest is organized chaos, but we'll be busting out paint, fabrics and shelving soon! Here's a sneak peak of our new space before all the goods moved in.

An Ode to the Mason Jar

Oh the mason jar. You've probably seen them everywhere in the wedding world. We still love these little charmers. I love the vintage feel of a mason jar and they are a budget friendly way to infuse your event with some charm. Here's some new ways to use those mason jars to your heart's content.

We love, love, love the look of these spray painted mason jars. They add a bit of a modern twist to vintage styling, and they look amazing!

Holy cats! We want to create this mason jar lighting installation for somebody! Everything about it is super rad. It's really romantic and oh so stunning! Pretty please, let us create it for you.

This is a sweet twist on the mason jar as a vase trend. A single bloom hanging from nature has quite an impact and we think it's swell.
Who wouldn't want to take a mason jar full of candy home? This is a fun way to send you guests on their merry way. Fill the jars with some old time candies if you want to keep the vintage going through your entire event. Yum!

Meet Vernon

We'd like to introduce you to our newest Lime Canary family member, Vernon. He's a stud. Vernon had been living his life as a photo studio prop, but his services were no longer needed. We decided to snatch him up so he could expand his resume and keep proppin' it up in the event world. He's sporting some gold, crushed velvet digs, and we think you should seriously consider renting him!

Vintage x 3 = Awesomeness

Hello friends! The world of vintage event decor is a big, big place. There are so many different ways you can use Lime Canary goods, and we just wanted to highlight a few different styles that we love. The great thing about making old new again, is that you can let your imagination run wild...Combine styles, invent your own style, whatever you choose, you can't go wrong with vintage decor!

Elegant Vintage- We love this style for it's incredible romanticism. Doesn't it make you swoon? Through the use of vintage glass, candlelight, and soft colors, you are able to create an absolutely flawless event.

Eclectic Vintage- This style is tons of fun! Throw in a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and it all comes together to create one occasion your guests won't forget. Stack our suitcases, use our mismatched chairs, create tablescapes with all of our accessories (think books, bird cages, clocks, milk glass, etc.). This style can sometimes be tricky to achieve on your own, so if you love it, but aren't sure how to do it...Give us a call! Our creative brains crave this sort of styling opportunity!

Natural Vintage- Vintage goodness paired with the beauty of nature is timeless! Adding vintage decor to your outdoor venue really adds some serious ambiance. There is something so magical about seeing a table in the middle of a field or a pair of doors flanking the entrance to an outdoor reception. It seems unexpected, yet completely perfect.

This is just a small sampling of the styles we love. Mix em', match' em, add your own elements. We're absolutely positive that you'll have one perfectly unique event!

Isn't this the most beautiful outdoor setting ever! It caught my eye and I just couldn't stop thinking about being in this space. There is so much warmth and beauty. It's pretty impressive when a design stops you in your tracks. It's spaces with this sort of power that we strive to create with all our rental experiences. Lovely!

How Do You Use That? Bird Cages

Ahhhh the bird cage! These dainty little beauties aren't just for keeping canaries from flying away. They've hit the event scene and are real multi-taskers. We have lots of varieties available for rent. Big ones, small ones, black ones, white ones...You get the picture. You've seen them used as card holders many a time, but here are some other neat ways to put these lovelies to use.

Bird cages paired with beautiful florals make amazing centerpieces. These stunning designs were done by Lisa at Florabella. We're pretty sure she's a floral genius!

Antique Florals?

Aren't these floral arrangements stunning! They were created by Ariel Dearie, a talented Brooklyn florist. I don't know if it's possible for flowers to look antique when they are so much in the present and alive, but these lovelies remind me of a bygone era. I would be giddy to see these beauties paired up with some Lime Canary pieces. That would be some serious vintage romance! Any takers?

How Do You Use That? Factory Cart

Chester is a lovable beast!

As Lime Canary's resident factory cart, Chester is fulfilling the second half of his life dream. In the early 1900s, he was heavily used in an industrial, warehouse in Michigan, but now he's ready to add some pizazz to your event. Chester's rugged look is a perfect match with some beautiful, dainty elements. Here are some great ideas for incorporating Chester into your event.

Factory carts make wonderful coffee tables as part of a stylish vintage lounge.

Factory carts are a great, creative way to showcase a candy display or favor display.

Factory carts can be creatively used as escort card displays.

Just a few neat ideas and uses for Chester, the factory cart. We have many, many more swimming around our brains!
