Chair Bonanza!

Whoooooooo Doggies...It's a toasty one out there today! On the Lime Canary front, we've adopted a large collection of 75 (give or take a few) side chairs. This awesome, eclectic mix of chairs would be great for ceremony or table seating. You could use one. You could use them all. You really can't go wrong with these little beauties! Each one is unique and we've got a lot of naming to do! We love them so much!

On another note, we just wrapped an amazing photo shoot with Red Ribbon Studio, and I can't wait to show you pictures! They will knock your socks off! Later gators!

Sylvia

Okey dokey, I promised you new things...Here's one of our recent finds. Meet Sylvia. She's one classy lasse. Her most recent gig was anchoring a dessert display, and she looked darn good. Take her for a spin!

Windows are Rad!

Oh how I love windows! I have a great selection of old windows to add some magical whimsy to your event. Windows can be excellent backdrops for dessert tables, hung from trees for a ceremony, or used to write your seating chart on. They add a really special touch that will surely get noticed. Mabel's one of my favorites!

Hello Bert!

I hope you all had a stellar weekend! It was a bit rainy and cloudy, but that's what I've come to expect on weekends thus far.  On a sunnier note, meet Bert. He's an interesting little number. His first life consisted of holding tools for an old farmer, but I see his second life being far more glamorous.  Bert would be a perfect piece to hold favors. I could see him accented with some flowers peeking through the cubbies. When he gets his first gig, he's not going to know what hit him!

They Had Me At Hello!

Meet Mavis and Percy. I happened upon these two little devils while out on a leisurely drive. I just couldn't pass them up. Some people pick up stray puppies and kittens...I pick up stray furniture. Not nearly as cuddly as a furry critter, but it has a special place in my heart. They both have tons of character and would be perfect for a cake table or any other display.  I'm imagining a beautiful, elegant cake, atop a chippy well-loved table. I love the combintation of rustic elegance!

The Tale of Two Tables

What's shakin? We schlepped ourselves to the great state of Iowa this weekend to do some serious buying. Sadly, it wasn't as fruitful as we hoped. Boooooo! Have you ever noticed that when you are seriously looking for something you never find it, but when you have no intention of looking, it appears. I'm pretty sure it's an immutable law of the universe...or at least my universe.

We did come away with a couple nice finds.  Meet Vladimir and Marilyn.  Vladimir is a rustic, dark harvest table with some serious character.  He extends to 84", and has some serious space for delicious desserts, gifts, or escort cards.  Marilyn is a sexy little number that harkens us back to old Hollywood.  She's got elegant curves and can seamlessly blend in in a rustic or elegant setting.

Websites I Love

I'm always on the prowl for cool websites.  I have a bit of an obsession reading blogs, and I definitely know way too much about people that I've never met.  Anyway, one of my favorite websites is designsponge.com. It has a little bit of everything...design, travel, interiors, artist inspiration, and more! They also update it about 5-6 times a day so there's always something new.  Check it out!

What's in a Name?

Hello lovelies! I've been busy working away this evening.  Doing what? You may ask.  Well, I've been naming the Lime Canary furniture.  I know it's a bit strange, but I fully believe each vintage piece has its own special identity...and with an identity comes a name.  So without further ado, let me introduce Gertrude.  She's the newest addition to the Lime Canary family.  She's a stunner!
