Milicent was a salvage find. She had amazing structure and I knew she had some serious potential. For the past couple weeks she's been in the upholstery shop getting a makeover. We love the results! She's now stunning in black velvet!
Meet our first, studly, male sofa...Franklin (please ignore the radical 1970s decor...it's part of the natural habitat Franklin was plucked from).
His strong lines and masculine features balance the curves of all the lady sofas in our collection. He's a versatile fella and can hold his own in any decor. We're excited to add him to our collection.
On another note, we moved into our new space and we can't wait to share it with you soon!
No, I'm not talking about a toupee (but I'm pretty sure if I had a hair piece, I would most certainly name it); I'm talking about a beastly 10'6"x8' Jute rug that is perfect for grounding any grouping either indoors or out. The natural fiber is unobtrusive so it adds a ton of character without hardly being noticed.
Ahhhhhhhhh! I thought this place only existed in my dreams! Seriously, I need to rent a Uhaul and hit the road. Check out more pictures of this beautiful oasis on one of my favorite blogs All Things Thrifty I'm now going to sit in a quiet corner and try to refocus my attention from this sensory overload!
Here's a little sneak peek of one of the projects we've been busy working on. It's our very own Lime Canary promotional photo shoot. We trudged down to the Round Barn on a glorious summer day and did some serious styling and shooting. The beyond wonderful Maribeth from Red Ribbon Studio was in charge of the beautiful photography and Jackie from Munster Rose created the fantastic floral pieces! It was so much fun! You'll be seeing more of these on our newly designed website which will be rolling out in the near future.
It's been a whirlwind couple weeks! Lime Canary has been super busy with photo shoots and events. So much excitement and fun! Sadly, all the pictures from the photo shoots are top secret ....Booooo! Just believe us when we say they're AMAZING!
In other excitement we get to move into our new space early! We can't wait. Let me just tell you opening our storage unit is incredibly scary! It's packed to the ceiling and you best hope you don't need something from the back...There's a good chance you'd be eaten alive by furniture! It's for this very reason that I can't wait to get into a bigger space that doesn't involve climbing over tables and balancing precariously on crates. You better believe we're hiring movers too! I nearly threw out my back a couple weeks ago heaving a heavy table down some stairs. We decided it was time to pay the professionals so I don't need a walker before I'm 30.
We have been HORRIBLE bloggers the past couple weeks. I promise we'll be back in action in the next day or two. We've had so many exciting things going on that we ran out of time in the day. We'll be back in the next day or two to fill you in! Have a good one!
